Before work begins
Drawings and permits
New homes need stamped drawings and a building permit. We confirm at the start who prepares each document and how approvals fit the schedule.
The existing house
On a rebuild, demolition, service disconnections and site access are planned before anything comes down.
Site and soil
Grading, soil conditions and access shape the excavation and foundation plan, and the cost.
Season
Excavation and concrete depend on weather. Start dates are planned around it.

Do you design the house?
We build from architectural or design drawings. If you do not have a designer yet, tell us at the consultation and we can talk through next steps.
Can you demolish the existing house first?
Yes. Demolition, excavation and framing are all part of what Matrix Homes does, so a knock-down and rebuild can stay with one team.
How long does a custom home take?
It depends on the size of the home, approvals, site conditions and the season. You get a project-specific schedule with the proposal.
