Before work begins
Moisture
Basements need any dampness dealt with before framing and insulation.
Headroom
Ductwork, beams and plumbing set the ceiling height in a basement. Routes are planned first.
Load-bearing walls
Removing a load-bearing wall needs a beam, usually an engineer's review and a permit. We assess this early.
Kitchen lead times
Cabinets, stone and appliances can take weeks. Ordering is planned so the kitchen is not opened up too early.

Often, yes. If the wall is load-bearing, it needs a beam and the right approvals. We check this at the site visit.
